Phileas — A Fund for Contemporary Art

Phileas ist eine unabhängige philanthropische Organisation, die 2014 von Moritz Stipsicz und Jasper Sharp mit dem Ziel gegründet wurde, aus privater Initiative ambitionierte Projekte im Bereich der zeitgenössischen Kunst zu fördern. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit KünstlerInnen, Museen und Biennalen ermöglicht Phileas die Produktion, das Ausstellen und das Sammeln zeitgenössischer Kunst Im Rahmen öffentlicher Institutionen. Der Fokus liegt hierbei auf Produktionen und Ausstellungen österreichischer KünstlerInnen im Ausland sowie internationaler Künstler in Österreich.

Phileas is an independent philanthropic organisation founded in 2014 by Moritz Stipsicz and Jasper Sharp that raises private funding to support ambitious projects within the field of contemporary art. Phileas works together with artists, museums and Biennials to enable the production, exhibition and acquisition of art for public institutions. A particular focus lies on the commission and production of exhibitions by Austrian artists abroad, and by international artists in Austria.
